Final Fantasy 15 if it was actually good
Great level design, fun, flashy and fluid combat with a load of fun bosses.
I love this game, it's probably the best game to come out of 2025 for me, haven't had this much fun playing a game in a while

If it has more dark souls 2 content then it's an 11/10

Insane amount of ambition that turned out to be mostly good, there were maybe 1 or 2 hours I didn't enjoy throughout the entire game but otherwise it's seriously impressive how well crafted this experience is and is easily Kodaka's best work

It's not just performance, the game is just bad
I actually liked 3 and thought it was overhated but this time the hate is deserved, 3 still felt like a borderlands game but this one is so bland and empty because of le open world meme and goes against the entire design process the previous games have evolved on
Being able to tackle the 3 main bosses in any order is such a bane because before you would have supporting characters and storylines build up but now since you can do it in any order, each of them are completely self contained and you have to pretend like the other ones don't exist since there's no continuity
Normally I could excuse this because I only care about the gameplay but this is borderlands 1 tier garbage gameplay but at least 1 has more enemy variety and better drop rates and aren't as damage tanky, the characters feel like they have more abilities than the previous borderlands characters but despite that they still just feel... extremely boring? Never once did I have fun using Vex's skills for example while in 2 Maya's simple phase lock was always riveting or something as simple as gunzerk which is literally just dual wielding guns was infinitely more fun.
The world is also only 3 areas that are just so empty and bland compared to the previous games having 20+ unique areas that all were filled with content and usually look pretty
Timekeeper is a cool villain... if you see him for more than 5 seconds and then immediately shift to 3 inferior villains
Not my complete thoughts and there's SOME positives in this game like most of the sidequests actually being pretty cool or funny, but overall this game is grim and I wouldn't recommend it until maybe DLC or something
