So much to do, feels like Skyrim with mods. As for the story, not that it's bad but not ground breaking, it is more of an after thought and the opening is pretty bad. The controls can take some time to get used to but I don't think it's that bad as most think, with controller. I will say though this game is either love it or hate it, for me it's that I love it.

Tldr; Reminds me of the first time I played Skyrim.

Best Europa Universalis game so far. It took the best parts of other PDX grand strategy games and combined them very well.

Not that far in as of writing this review but the modern controls is very nicely done.

I only got back into this game with 2k22. Since then every iteration has gotten better. While universe mode has little to update or change it and probably should be scraped and rebuilt it works which is fine. MyFaction is actually worth it and has some fun game play while keeping what was in last year's MyFaction mode. Also persona's are in so some times you can get different looks and entrances for character's old looks in the rest of the game. The only one you can get and I think you get instantly is Sheamus' old look. MyGm is much improved and way more fun. Overall I look forward's to next years game and can't wait to see what is added in this current years game.

For me this game is the best 4x on the market right now. As of writing this review the current "historical" 4x games that are on the top, in no particular order, would be Millennia, Civ6, and Humankind. With Ara coming out later this year. Of all these Millennia is my go to "historical" 4x game (jury is still out on Ara). It is not perfect but has lots of promise. Can't wait to see what it brings in the future. The two announced dlc look amazing, especially the first one with nomadic start and a new earlier era, only Humankind has tackled this era so I'm very interested to see how Millennia tackles it. All that said the game needs more options for map generation/types. For example less resources, more arid terrain, more hills, and stuff like that. Also I'd like some game speed options like reduce research and culture speed for a longer time per era. As right now I feel like I could "win" a game in one day and I prefer my 4x games to take weeks if not months and I have friends I play with who also prefer that speed.

I really enjoy this game and see great potential in what it can become. As an avid consumer of all things grand strategy by paradox all their games start off bare bones but with dlc and fee patch content it becomes better and better as time goes on. I've never not bought a dlc and just played with the patches so be forewarned that I say this knowing I will buy all the dlc. I'd also suggest you look up and get the VTM mod (Victoria Tweaks Mod).

I liked the story and the game is enjoyable. I will admit I bought it during a sale so maybe wait for a sale if your hesitant. If you're a fan of 5 edition D&D I wouldn't wait though.

Real fun and love the addition of multiplayer. I hope they continue to add on such as owning friends and allow me to publish their games in the future.

Hands down it is the best story line (until the very end) of any game series ever. Plus you get all 3 games plus all the dlc (except one [don't worry it wasn't story important]) for one low cost. Plus the games have great improvements (especially the first one) and graphical updates. Love this game so happy it was put in a single package, I would like to have seen the multiplayer in this package but not if it was required to get the special ending like it was when the game was first released. While Andromeda wasn't the best I was sad we never saw the Quarian dlc but this makes up for it and then some. I compliment the team who worked on this and I also have to give a big hand of applause to the original team and especially the story creators.

Started replaying this in January 2021 and I'm having a blast. I do recommend the HD mod you can find online, improves the game a ton. Fair warning though with guns like the sniper and rocket launcher the Classic Axis breaks it. If you remove the 2 classic axis files the snipers and rocket launcher are fixed but aiming with other guns is frustrating. So if you know you are gonna use the sniper or rocket launcher in a mission remove the files but put them back whenever you don't plan on using the sniper or rocket launcher.
