I paid 99 cents for this game, and for that sale price it is utterly amazing. This game is certainly worth the five dollar full price tag. The landscape is beautiful, particularly in color, and the enemies are unique and excellently programmed. On the hardest difficulty setting the enemies are very alert and will relentlessly pursue you once they see you with an intelligence that is rare for most games. The story is presented in an interesting way and the setting is very immersive. Though I have yet to beat the game at the time of writing this, in the hour and a half that I've played I feel that I've already gotten more than my money's worth.

The game is quite fun, particularly with friends. It's a lot like Left 4 Dead with a focus on melee weapons. Fast gameplay with a simple but fun combat system, a loot system that gives you incentive to keep playing to unlock that next weapon, and an interesting selection of enemies with a unique design makes the game quite enjoyable. I hadn't played the game in a year up until a couple of days ago, and unfortunately it seems to be a bit difficult to find a game on most of the base game maps, at least on the Normal and Hard difficulties. This is encouraged by the loot system of the game and the fact that the first map is by far the best for grinding for new items. If you have a few friends and the game is a pretty good purchase. I haven't tried the DLC, but judging by the store pages for them each comes with three new maps and two new weapon types, which is unappealing to me for the price of ten bucks, but it would definitely help to get a bit more life out of the game.

This game is literally available in full form as a browser game. battlestick.net. This would be like if agar.io tried to publish an exact copy on Steam and succeeded. Even though it's free to play, it's still unacceptable.

My first journey as a samurai found me masterless after my Lord was defeated by the rival Amane clan. I alone survived the battle, and swore vengeance against Fujimori. Gathering my weapons, I traveled to join the Ouka clan, a group of malcontents and undisciplined bandits, a necessary evil on my road to revenge. After a hard fight with the guards, I was accepted into the clan. Exploring the grounds of the castle, I was asked by a chef to help him cut vegetables. I thought that it would be a good way to endear myself to the clan, and accepted. I began slicing the vegetables, when all of the sudden the chef threw a stone item at me. In my weakened state, I was no match, and was killed instantly. Pretty good game.

There aren't that many good servers, but the game is an absolute blast to play if you have friends. Great team based play, decent amount of levels and weapon variability, fairly realistic gunplay, and it's free.

My time is a bit inflated because I left the game running when I had to leave the computer, but you get a good hour to an hour and a half of gameplay, depending on how much you use hints and how readily you solve the puzzles. Most of the puzzles are simple, as is the hidden object main part of the game, but the art direction is quite nice. If you can get it when it's on sale for less than a quarter, as I did, it's certainly worth it. I would never recommend paying five bucks for it, though.
