Hey everyone, I hope you all are doing well!

Today I just wanted to share to you what my thoughts are what is happening to a game I really love and what it used to stand for. And how it did showcase the raw harsh reality of law enforcement and the mental heath and drug issues of humanity without censoring the game and shocking players with what the game was willing to show.

But unfortunately it has changed for the worse. The developers, whom I at first thought they were some of the only western developers left to not give in to trends or what's mainstream and willing to risk making a game they wanted to be a vessel to showcase the problems of society. The developers promised to never censor the game, but at last we all got lied to.

Even though the developers said they wouldn't, they are planing on censoring the game for the PC version even though they are doing to supposedly doing it for the console rating so that they can sell the game...
I really thought they wouldn't censor the game but they did.

At first I gave this once raw game a positive review and played it so much, as you can tell by how many hours I have. But I had to change this review to negative because of what the developers are doubling down on.


If you don't know what the censorship changes that are coming to PC and console they are:

1. "Post-mortem dismemberment has been disabled"

This is a dumb change, having this feature makes the game seem way more brutal, realistic and serious and it shows that these people are human and weak and the weapons you have are more deadly than you think, it also shows that if you make a mistake it can have brutal consequences.

2. "Twisted Nerve: The girl is now depicted as sleeping instead of convulsing."

The girl in question is a child, that is drugged and most likely been raped because of the condom that can be found hiding next to the bed she is in. The developers have made the change to hide the condom a long time ago, so it could show that they were always willing to make dumb choices unfortunately or they did it to make it less obvious, we should be fair.

3. "A Lethal Obsession: Nudity involving the ghillie suit suspect has been adjusted"

The ghillie suit suspect is a ex-CIA (*in game it's called the USIA.) agent that has gone insane and is naked because he is insane and crazy or something far more sinister ;). Him being naked makes him look way more insane and crazy and makes the game look and feel serious.

4. "Hide and Seek: Female hostages now wear underwear"

The female hostages are trafficked women. I don't know why the developers are being so vague with these changes, probably to not make it look as bad.

5. "Narcos: Police informant hostage now wears underwear"

Again this police informant hostage, is a undercover detective who is naked and was brutally tortured by the Mexican cartel, resulting in missing eyes, missing fingers, missing toes, and numerous gashes all over his body, etc.

6. "23 Megabytes a Second: ‘Photo of Minors’ objective model was revised to better link with ‘Sinuous Trail’."

Another weird change. Instead of photos of children to shock the player about what they revealing and that there is something more horrifying happening behind the scenes. Will be changed to a list of names. Maybe a little bit more realistic because I don't think someone would want photos of abused children in their room that they stream in. But who said criminals were smart?

That's all the changes the the developers have said are coming to PC as well, you can look on the dev logs to learn about about what they said.

They want to censor the game so that they could release the the game on console. To be honest I will say that I think it's great that Ready or Not is coming to console for that more people could experience it, and I am glad that too much wasn't censored or changed. But that doesn't matter, there should be ZERO censorship NONE , and the censorship will change how shocking the game was and what they depicted and how they would show how savage people could be by showing the crazy people naked or how they would treat woman and children. The developers would show these real things, things like this that happen to this very day with respect to the victims and without being afraid to show the truth. But it seems they have changed.

I still remember the first trailers for the game back before it was even on Steam, and man it was horrifying, even more then what we got before the censors. The trailers were brutal showing even children suffering and how the SWAT teams had to bring order to chaos.

It's very sad what is happening to this game and what the developers had decided to do and not listen to the community. And I am sure there are some developers at VOID who don't like what's happening and can't do anything about, I feel sorry for you guys, but do what you can!

There are many reasons to why this game is so amazing I will list some here:

• It is a sandbox game that means you can do basically anything which is amazing for someone like me who used to play with toy soldiers on one of those carpet maps as a kid. I always would pretend to have have all these big battle with my toy armies this game is the is the definition of that!
  
• ArmA 3 has a Steam workshop! This means anyone yes anyone can make mods and other goodies for the Steam community! This one feature is the sole reason to why this game is still kicking a$$ to this day!
  
• The developers are still working on this game! sort of. Large scale development for this game is done sadly. But thankfully there is still a few developers that are still working on this amazing game on a way smaller scale but still adding new cool neat features!
  
• The developer company(Bohemia interactive) is not that bad compared to other gaming company's these days.
  
• Zeus a unique feature to this game basically adds a RTS element you can make your own battles in real time which basically is what I have always dreamed of in a game!
  
• The soundtrack is actually pretty good compared to new games.

I have had so many awesome memories playing this game and guess what is was mostly all in singleplayer!

A lot of people are hating this game for its DLC's and major bugs but this just makes the game more fun and enjoyable in my opinion!

• The quality of the models are amazing
  
• the reload animations are the best, better then any mod out there.
  
• The CDLC's add many new features to this game!
  
• There are still more CDLC's in the making according to Bohemia interactive!
  
• The CDLC's are all currently receiving new updates every now and then. Yes the updates always have very big download sizes for some reason, even the smaller ones still require you to download a lot of Gigabytes

Personally I really enjoy all of the DLC and CDLC that are here for ArmA 3! I really hope to see more!
