Getting your Steam account stolen is a gamers worst nightmare; especially if you have something very valuable in your inventory. Lately, there's been an uprise in the number of scams and phishers on Steam. I'd like to point this out by saying: DO NOT CLICK ON LINKS YOU DON'T TRUST!
Sadly, I found this out the hard way with my old account made in 2008. Here are a few videos on what scamming and phishing are, and how to protect yourself from these.
