You need to actually own the games to get cards. Running Idle Master is no different than actually downloading the game and playing it yourself. IM just eliminates the downloading of he game.

So if I manualy download a game that a friend of mine has and playing i dont get chromes?

You can only gain Steam Trading Cards for games that you own, that are on your Steam account. Games shared to you, demos, and free weekends do not count. This is regardless of whether you use Idlemaster.

Idlemaster will run if you own any game that has card drops remaining, regardless of whether the game is installed.
