Idle master has no control over how fast cards drop. That is entirely up to Valve.

Make sure you have no more free card drops remaining. Look at your badge page. If there are games thre that say you have card drops left. Exit IM and restart it. It will tell you how many it has left in the IM window.

Also free card drops from playing/idling are not unlimited. If a game has 8 cards you get 4 free drops (1 half of the cards) after that you need to trade or buy hte rest to get all the cards you need to craft a badge. Also you can get dupe drops.

The rate in 0.7 was higher and this has nothing to do with Valve. IdleMaster has two exe-files. IdleMaster.exe and steam-idle.exe. I think the later one is crashing or something. At least in the new portable version it did. So maybe the installed version is affected too.

1 card within 4 hours is far below the Valve-rate.

The rate of card drops is dependent on the game that's being idled. There are some games that take 10+ hours to idle where it's possible you could run Idle Master for 4 hours and get only one card drop. If you'd like, you can place the game that's currently idling in your blacklist or skip it to move on to the next (which will likely have a more rapid drop rate).

Also, make sure that when Idle Master is running, that Steam shows you're "in-game", otherwise cards won't drop.

I am just getting card drops, when skipping through the games or change the game priority settings...maybe this helps.
