I don't own a Windows phone, so this news doesn't affect Idle Master's development

There isn't anything to fix - simply extract the zip file to a location on your hard drive and run the exe file.

The server this site runs on was down but should be back up now.

The lack of the Android phone isn't the problem (I have a Motorola Pure X 2015 Edition which is more than capable of running the app) but the rub is the SMS setup. When I enter my mobile number into the program it tells me that my carrier isn't supported. I don't think I should have to change carriers or (even worse) put someone else's phone number on my account just so that I can continue using the market properly.

Additionally, I use about 6 different desktop PCs throughout the day and sometimes log into various different machines for development work, and having to enter an authentication token each time sounds like the opposite of usability for me.

While I would totally be down with circumventing the process using a desktop app (hopefully with the ability to run it on multiple machines without issue) it's just honestly gotten to the point where it's not worth jumping through their hoops. Even now after months of not idling, I have about $60 worth of available trading cards.

Idle Master should continue to work for the foreseeable future and the code is available freely for anyone to change when Valve makes changes to their system going forward.

I just wanted to point out that updating Java won't actually do anything in regards to Idle Master. Idle Master isn't written in nor uses Java.

You need libsteam_api64.so - the steam_api.dll is a Windows-only DLL file. Both the 32bit and 64bit files are available here:

If you play the game, you get the card drops fine. I just got a drop in a game that says "No card drops remaining" (nor even listed in my Badges page) while playing it normally. It'll probably work even if you "play" it using some other idling tools I won't name.

The Badge page is borked for some, intentional by Steam or not, it's what killed IdleMaster because, guess what? It checks your Badge page to see how many card drop remains (if any) for you, and due to this, it sees none, and "Idling complete".

I suspect this is what's happening right now, some Badge page bug.

This is most likely what's happening, Steam's servers being crazy.

Obviously, I've used Idle Master (even in various incomplete/testing phases) more than probably anyone and I'm not experiencing any of the issues described here. My badge page shows correctly, my booster pack eligibility loads up (over 1,200 games eligible), and everything appears as normal.

I think the best thing to do at the moment is to remain calm and wait - usually these types of issues are resolved within 24 hours but honestly it might take Valve until Monday since it's the weekend/holiday here in the States. In all likelihood those experiencing these issues would be experiencing them right now regardless of whether they used Idle Master.

If people are still reporting problems on Monday I will be happy to reach out to Valve on behalf of the effected users to see if I can elicit an official response.

@Mako: It will currently only idle multiple games up to the 2h mark if you have more than 1 game that meets this criteria. Otherwise it will order them according to your settings (alphabetical, by value, by card drops) as it won't save any time pre-idling just the one game.

It certainly seems like that's the case. I've been doing some testing of my own and have come up with the same result. I'll do some more testing (and hopefully others will chime in with their experiences) but that's great news if that's the case.

Either way, I would recommend Idle Master be set to idle games individually in the settings - along with your preferred order - for best results.
