What is Derping for Group?

Derping for Group is an initiative by Athis and Deafsnivz to be able to organize simple events with their friends in selected (and unselected) games to play together. This idea has been pushed forward to the public for anyone on Steam who would be interested in finding others to play with.

Why did you create this group?

As a way to easily bring our friends together when we want to play a game together, to organize events amongst ourselves such as tournaments, and to try to bring in strangers from around the world who wish to play games together as friends.

What are the selected games?

Steam games include Counter Strike: Source, Reflex, Murder Miners, Left 4 Dead 2, Terraria, Awesomenauts, Dirty Bomb, and Dark Souls I.

Non-Steam games include Overwatch, Guild Wars 2, and Heroes of the Storm.

What is the primary platform on which you play games?

PC, but that doesn't exclude us from consoles and the such.

What do you use for voice comms?

We use Steam chat! It is currently in beta, but you can join us here: https://s.team/chat/KNhh2wDQ

Report:

It's been 3 days now
I haven't moved for a while
How I survived, no idea how
But I've gotta change my play style

My fingers are not even tired
I might have missed school
As for my job, consider me fired
These graphics are just too cool

60 frames per second
Every swing of the sword counts
I think I got a text message
But I gotta see how the score counts

This was just one game
I haven't even touched the rest
Ahh rest, something I got less of
Eyes widened
Senses heightened
In the game anyway
In real life I would waste away
But I couldn't put it down
My bags in my eyes'd make me look a clown
Up on the leaderboards, no one could ever take me down

Everything goes black
Is this an attack?
No, just blew a fuse
Still dazed and confused
Replacing the old one
Realized what I'd just done
Heartbroken
No words.. spoken
This is **** lame!!!
I didn't save my game!!
