We are creating a DarkRP server for your enjoyment, the server is heavily modified and is very much enjoyable. -=The Illness=-

The origin of the illness is unknown, but it is told to have been first caught in rural areas around the City of Sacramento, in California. At first the infection process was slow, but as more and more people became infected, the virus became stronger, and was able to infect people much faster. The infection can only be caught via coming in contact with one who is already a carrier of the illness.

There are individuals who are supposedly immune to the virus, but this remains unproved and has not been looked in to.

-=Pre-Outbreak=-

The city of Sacramento had always been considered a fairly safe and average place to live. Of course it had the occasional crime, such as shootings and robberies, but these weren't frequent activities. Government power had always been in good balance, and the people were happy with the way of life in Sacramento. The economy had strived for many years, and this brought in a lot of business into the area.

5 years later in 2010, economy and government power were still strong and in control, but there had been a mysterious outbreak of illness in small villages around Sacramento, in the less populated, rural areas. This was nothing major, and only a small percentage of people were affected. The illness stood no major threat to people who had it and those around them. The worst cases of the illness were fevers and migraines.

As time went on, the illness spread, and started to infect more and more people within the Sacramento area. This was due to travelling and interaction of the infected and healthy. More people became immobilised, and the economy slowly started to drop. Business in the area also started to decline because of the lack of demand. There were the occasional news stories on the illness, but it was just seen as one of the infections that come and go, such as Influenza, also known as swine flu. However, the illness that had hit the Sacramento area was much different and much more deadly than people first thought.
