The vip on INS is unreviveable by their flare gun until the next objective, once dead. Works pretty good in practise. Would we want an unreviveable class that has a 2nd windup + slowmo?

Maybe have the vip a one-time auto revive per capture and the slow-mo auto trigger after, better than a director monitoring health which would drain server resource due to high RoF weapons.


+gives rushing vip more safety buffers
+helps counter overpowered medic system that almost gurantees vip gear points

-vip might turn into pointman if auto-revive doesnt have a long cooldown




But work on this later, we have the engineer points and undragable/unreviveable body bugs to squash first.

Yeah lets fix current issues for sure and tweak existing changes.

Just updated engineer script with redundant check. Fixed some issues with respawn script too, it was mainly the config file.. I changed a parameter that might've broke it. I just rebooted server so if ppl play this weekend, let me know how it goes.

if the vip class gets nerfed with a speed penalty, weight penalty, ammo restrictions, etc. i think it would force the player to be more reliant on the team as a consequence, and thus reduce this sort of rush-cap behaviour that i've already adopted for the vip class because it is convenient and easy. the premise for such a nerf could be that the vip was injured or under-armed.

I feel like fireteam leader trigger could be good idea. VIP death not so much.. Maybe AI director could recognize when everyone is doing bad, check if bots are alive, and do a random chance to enable it intermittently for 1-3 minutes. Though going on and off might be annoying so an extended 30 seconds to 60 seconds.
