Overall I like sandstorm, they brought over the good aspects of insurgency and improved upon them. Optimization needs to get better along with animations. All other stuff feels on par so far, vehicles can improve but I love that they have them in because mods..

From my understanding there is going to be a lot of server customization through server parameters. There should be more that allow you to control the flow of the battle more though I'm hoping they add reinforcements for player team, I am going to post my feedback to them on that.

Thinking about it more, highlighted ammo boxes would kill immersion, maybe a ping feature where it activates for 5 seconds with a cool down.

It's using gear id now so should be working. It's quite easy for the glasses since its just a function listener with item is.

@Hodor I decided to remove 7x scope on m249 and its variants. RPK still has it so let me know if its okay there.

Speaking of scopes, could we have the 7x or 8x for the m16? I understand this is low priority but it would be a nice addition since the m16 is semi/burst. If I remember correctly it was available once, long ago, so it shouldn't have any alignment problems.

As for the bots, I think the jug armor has reached a good balance. A few people still complain about them but I remember the old jugs with mithril plate.

Lastly, the ammo rig 3 doesn't increase the MG mags. Maybe the m249 needs to be capped for balance reasons but the rpk could do with 1 or 2 more mags. The squad commanders get 12 drum mags on ammo rig 4!

Added 7x to m16a4 in next update. -Realized that it requires more work since Ill have to make it only for snipers. Thanks for pointing out rigs, I'm going to possibly remove all restrictions but look into trying to balance the drum magazines since they likely aren't reflecting their proper weight.

That has got to be annoying. What I'll possibly do is allow instant build with the prop having "low health" and then the engineer will have to sit to build it up.

I thought of this too Jpoon and meant to address it earlier. Sometimes a map can be too long if it has a lot of points.. Say you get to the finale and lose on an 8 point map which took 20 minutes. Now you must start over and possibly repeat up to 2 more times (a while back it was longer).

Well there is this setting called mp_timelimit and it is set to 40 minutes. In source games its supposed to allow for a map change if the game surpasses the time limit before the max rounds were played.

Say you're on round 2 and its been 40 minutes and you lose.. well the map SHOULD go to vote screen instead of entering for a 3rd round which some people may not want to do since its been 40 minutes on same map already.

Now for some reason, I assumed this wasn't working for a while but havent actually tested. I just realized that maybe 40 minutes is not a good setting. Because you can do two rounds that just run under 15-20 minutes each and by the time you get to the 3rd round, that could take another 15-20 minutes and thus run the map for well over an hour since the mp_timelimit won't fire until 40 minutes has passed within the first two rounds.

I set it to 30 minutes so we will see if that actually changes anything.

Thats not a bad idea for ammo boxes. Maybe we can highlight closest one to player or a toggle option for players. Does LUA host plugins online? If not I can try that code you posted but Ive been behind on implementing stuff..

Not sure why this is happening other than maybe its on a non-coop version ? Make sure also you didn't join from another server possibly. Let me know if it happens again and to multiple people.
