It's an old server sir, but it checks out.
Well, it's been what seems like an eternity since this creaky old thing has seen the light of day, and I never thought I'd say it again:

The RG TF2 Payload server is back!

The RG Engineering team has been working day and night (sometimes until 5 AM), rewriting literally thousands of lines of code, and testing our deployments to bring back the mighty RG server that once provided shenanigans for all. While there are still some of our proprietary software that need to be upgraded, the server is ready for prime time!

For the time being, the server will be up weekly from 6:00 PM ET to 2:00 AM ET on Friday nights. The Discord calendar also has a recurring event scheduled.

Attention, this is your captain speaking. It's time for the first community updates since 2021 (yes, you heard me correctly). We've set the cryo chambers to defrost on RG and we're getting this ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ battleship back underway like it should be.

RG is back?

RG was, is, and always will be a punk bar where you can fly your freak flag and not have to worry about it. Given the times, it's needed more than ever. So the RG crew is coming back in full force. While we're not rushing getting the machines back up and running, we're doing everything we can to get the community back in action.

Updates

The Discord is getting the dust blown off of it and getting reworked with modern tooling.
- The Server Guide now has basic information about RG and the community, including the rules.
- The Discord now supports join requests, instead of being invite only. You can invite friends in using the URL https://discord.rgclan.org/ .
- You can now self-assign notification roles in the Channels & Roles section in the top-left corner of Discord, including the community notifications role (which will replace the everyone notifications) and game or activity-specific roles.
- Some legacy text channels have been either archived or replaced with forum channels to help reduce clutter.
- RG Friday Night's are back, with weekly fun shenanigans and ritual sacrifice (kidding on the last part...or not?).

Wow. So the servers are coming back too?

Not exactly. While the RG Engineering team is considering bringing some games back such as Minecraft and Unreal Tournament, there are currently no plans to bring the prime time RG servers back until we have our ducks in a row.

Is the RG Clan back open? Can I apply?

Not yet. There's currently no need to do so, but if it changes or there's enough demand, we'll reconsider.
