GetSome is one of NZ's longest running gaming communities, having been around in some form since the days when broadband was fresh off the boat and uncapped data was but a datahoarder’s fantasy.
If you are an old fart like Clin, you may remember us by other names such as Clearnet Deluxe, ICONZ Arena, GamerHub, or that other name, you know the ON3[www.on3network.co.nz] the lawyers said we’re not meant to talk about.
Times have changed since then, most of us now have UFB connections that are faster than our LAN’s were back then, and we’re no longer reliant on steam caches or trying to find a local mirror of that new game patch to avoid paying for data.
Unlike steam caches, broadband data caps and Linux iso sharing at LANs, we’re still here rocking along. We still host game servers for the community on our legendary infrastructure as we always have, DV is still grumpy, and Lias still rages when he gets one tapped while camping in Tarkov.
