Welcome To The Official FaZe Clan: Counter-Strike Group

On February 9th, 2016, FaZe Clan adds Robert "RobbaN" Dahlström as a coach. Formerly, he was widely regard as one of the best in Counter-Strike, primarily know for his long runs in Ninjas in Pyjamas and SK Gaming, where he and his team placed highly in many events. With more experience on FaZe's side, the first tournament that was to be attended with this new coach would be the Intel Extreme Masters X - World Championship, which gave the team a month of preparation.

The first match of the Group B round robin for FaZe would be against Bulgarian side E-Frag.net Esports Club, who would be attending with Nikolay "pNshr" Paunin as a stand-in for Simeon "dream3r" Ganev. FaZe would easily take down the Bulgarians, taking Cache 16-5 in a Best-of-one.

The next match of the Group for FaZe would be against Brazilian rising star Henrique "HEN1" Teles's team Tempo Storm. This match-up would prove to be quite a struggle for FaZe, where the match would be taken into overtime on Dust II. The match would eventually be tied up despite FaZe having a round deficit of 5-10 by the first half, and would go into overtime. However, Norwegian duo Joakim "jkaem" Myrbostad and Håvard "rain" Nyagaard would help pull in the win for FaZe, ending the match with a score of 19-16.

The next match-up would mark the third match of the day for FaZe and also marks the point where the team started to slip up. This time FaZe would be going against Nathan "NBK" Schmitt's Team EnVyUs, which were in a slump at the time. Despite this, FaZe would be taken down by the opposing French side on Train 12-16, which would be their first loss in the group.

The next match would be against the former teammates of FaZe's Philip "aizy" Aistrup, now taking the form of an opposing Astralis. FaZe would continue their soon-to-be losing spree here as well, being easily taken down on Inferno by opposing Nicolai "dev1ce" Reedtz and crew, ending the battle between the two teams at 5-16 scoreline.

The final match-up of the group would decide whether FaZe Clan or Janusz "Snax" Pogorzelski's Virtus.pro, who like Team EnVyUs were also considered to be in a slump at the time. The final match of Group B would prove to be a close game for both sides, with the first half of Mirage ending 8-7. However, FaZe continued to slip and would lose the match 13-16, marking an earning of $7,000 as well as another group stage exit for the team.
