Number 1 reason a connection fails is internet provider, so let me know if you get a "failed to connect" or "not responding" message.

Number 2 is if your Steam ID is not logged in the game. Since this is my own hardware, I am limiting membership to invite only, so the Steam ID needs to be logged before a connection can be made.

Number 3 is if you get the "banned" message. If you have not been formally told by me you are banned, you are NOT banned. I will tell you if that happens.
So if this message pops up, it means your Steam ID is not logged with the game.
Without it, the game automatically puts you in the banned list.

This is for my own personal internet security, so only players whose profile I have seen can join the server. Please let any friends you want to join know this, so I can make sure their steam profile is not a fake or bot or something :).

Number 4 is mods. Still trying to figure all this out, but Valheim has a lot of connection issues if you use a mod or 10 or 100. Some mods require the server to also have the exact same mod or you can't connect. Others are fine.
