(Hey you should invite people to this open group. For instance there's tons of people in the old group that I can't reach to invite.)

This is the (new) group on steam for people gathering to play a custom game mode that is, at least for now, simply known as 4v4 Pass Time. The mode was concieved by Jaguar, as well as the main original map, but had lots of peoples' involvement and feedback that shaped it to make it possible! There are other people experimenting with other alternative maps and ruleset systems to postentially diversify the feel of the game mode.

Note that this mode and the maps are geared towards competitive TF2 players. The gameplay is a lot better than the defaul Pass Time that is found in TF2. There is a focus on mechanical skill (rocket jumps, airshots, surfs) as well as solid teamwork and communication.

The standard rules are as follows (subject to change)

Class limits: 3 soldiers, 1 demoknight, 1 medic, (no others allowed)
example of team compositions: 3 sol + 1 med / 2 sol + 1 med + 1 demo / 3 sol + 1 demo

Soldier items: Must use gunboats. No hitscan allowed (it's too easy and good). Must use normal speed rockets. No gimmicky launchers. No rocket jumper. Basically stick to stock or original. No banners. Escape plan or market gardener for melee. No whip.

Demo items: Must be a demoknight and use a shield. No sticky launchers allowed. No sticky jumper. No Loch n Load. No eyelander or reskins.

Medic: Crossbow only. Must use default uber. No kritz or vac or quickfix (trust us, it's been tried).
