Please stop supporting the AI disclosure so blindly
I get why some people think it's a cause to fight for. However, it's creating problems with reviews I don't want to be there.

Full disclosure, I'm a gamer. Not a dev, not affiliated with any game, I just play them. I do very much fight against AI disclosure because everyone is doing it, and it only serves those who hide it. Also, as much as artists are getting it worse than ever, the trend is simply unavoidable in my mind

That said, this isn't why I'm trying to convince you today. The reason I'm talking is because these games that are complying are almost universally review-bombed by a handful of users. Now, of course I believe it's unfair to do so when those that hide it well get off unscathed, but the context isn't in consideration even. I keep seeing fat negative reviews on games admitting they use AI in preparation assets and various rough portions of the game environment, and it's just not fair to have to read around the details to find that the grand mistake the developer made is that they disclosed the AI usage! Nobody was finding the AI on an indie developer's background, but they're unwisely trying to be upfront to customers and are paying for it dearly. It's making desirable games harder to find, and making developer honeaty an unjust punishment.

Please, let's just go back to review nuking AAA usage of AI through word of mouth, yet still manage to buy millions of copies. It's just hurting the honest indies, that's really it, and at the end of the day, they're just being too honest. I don't know of a single indie that has been widely acknowledged to use AI aside from the honest ones, it's the AAAs that get roasted by the community and still sell millions.

AI disclosure is just hurting those that adhere to it. Please get rid of it.

if ai has to be disclosed then so should games that use unity/unreal and store bought assets
Pretty late to the Sweeney article.

:nkCool:
You not wanting reviews to be there is a YOU issue. And complaining about transparency is laughable at best.

I don't need reviews that regurgitate the AI disclosure needlessly, punishing developer honesty.

And I didn't complain about transparency. Clearly this would remove transparency, it's punishing honesty/transparency (if you must) that I'm complaining about, particularly on more fragile indies.

Good for you, doesn't mean those reviews shouldnt exist.
Sorry, but I can't be with you here. Indies or AAA, I am absolutely against using AI in creative work. Full stop. AI has no place in creation of imagery, music, video games. It's not even "intelligence", it's just an enormous data bank and calculator. It isn't creative, it can't solve problems. So no, I prefer the disclosure staying, so it makes avoiding games with AI involved easier.

Do the Unity and Unreal stores pay the artists? Yes? Then I don't understand the comparison.
