Other mod might override it. Learn about unpacking mods and adding files to in-game-mod-folder. Make sure to avoid any high priority in meta file ...better to avoid this settin altogether.
I build package for myself as majority of graphic mods conflict in such way neither work as intended.

I suppose that only one sprite-changing mod can work at a time.
