And my question is how do you get dark matter? Because I can't seem to find it. I've tried to put everything through there and nothing works.

Hello! I'm just wondering how to create Charis powder? I know its an early material but I'm honestly lost

Update 1.1 added a new "Master Recipe Book" to the Codex Forge, which helps on getting most of the powder and essence if you seem to be having difficulties.

If you are confused about how to get Charis Powder, however, That is located in the basic Alchemy Table. The second tab should show a recipe for Charis Powder.
If it does not, let me know.

Everything in this mod (apart from crafting table recipes) is obtained through feeding mob drops and materials into the Dark Alchemy Table. For Essences specifically, you need the liquid upgrade for your Matter Manipulator. Growth Essence is from the Liquid Water you can suck up from any ocean. Each Liquid turns into its own essence, including Milk.

Dark Matter is also obtained through the Dark Alchemy Table, although in a different way. You craft the Corrupted Writ from the Codex Canvas and make a "Corrupted Erchis Powder" in the Alchemy Lab. After thats done, you throw the Corrupted Powder into the Dark Alchemy Table to yield Dark Matter. This will make sense in the lore, which isnt complete yet.

Hope this helps a little bit. I Know the Dark Alchemy Table mechanic is a little new to starbound as the only item to actually use it was the "Refinery".

It is in fact not showing up for me on the tab. I read through the few pages on crafting and other things like the comment section where you had mentioned this before. I assumed that could be made out of either carapace or coal but I have an abundance of them. I don't know if this is useful but I use a Cra- I mean, Macbook

There is a second discussion labeled "NOTICE: CHARIS POWDER"
In there, it states that we believe Frackin' might be messing with some kind of loading procedure during the asset recognition of my mod.

A Fix should be out either today, or tomorrow.

How do we get Animal Essence? It claims that the material needed for Animal Essence is Milk. However it does not break down in the Dark Alchemy Table.

Just to be clear, the Milk that I tried to use was obtained from a Mooshi. I have not come across milk as a liquid (along the same vein as Water, Lava, Oil, Etc.)

Oh, No. its supposed to be Liquid milk.
the Item Milk has no effect.
Liquid Milk should be sold in the Outpost, or you can create Milk in the Tonic Mixer. :)

Hmm... I'm guessing I haven't gotten to either. Liquid milk isn't sold at either of the outpost stores (at least not that I noticed, I'll check again), nor have I found the bp/engram for the Tonic Mixer yet.

It's coconut milk. Take coconut, throw it on the ground, and collect milk with a MM.

i have now used 12 hours to find out how to get the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ crystal glass and im about to explode. please for the love of god tell how to get it.
