I've detected a nearby Akkimari drill. If you stay near it, I can capture it and let you reap the rewards.

They seem to be a random event that spawn on planets where you can encounter Akkimari's. If you've played Destiny 2 it seems akin to a Cabal Miner event. There's a ring around the Akkimari drill and if you stay within it, a bar will slowly fill. While in the ring, hostile Akkimari will spawn and try killing you. I don't know what exactly you get yet though, as when I encountered it, I died, and the drill was done when I went back.
