Looks great! I'll likely be making a few minor adjustments to it (such as minor changes to shading), but I think this'll make it into the mod!

Awesome! I tried to go for a jumpsuit type of thing, but that made it look a little strange in hind sight. I'll probably do the Starfarers or Astronaut next!

Here's the link for the Starfarers Armor.

EDIT:
Made a second post, I noticed a couple things after I posted it. So here's the second link.

Again, looks great! I wish it was possible to add truly asymmetric armour pieces in Starbound - it's possible to make the front and back arms asymmetric, but not the left and right arms (i.e. the shoulder pad would always be front or back, independent of which way the character is facing).

So basically I'd have to make it with that in mind? Having it look proper from both angles?

I'd recommend doing so, yeah. It's an unfortunate side effect of how Starbound's armour system works, but support for true asymmetric armour pieces would have nearly doubled the amount of images needed for every piece of armour...

hmm, aight. So give me a basic run down of what I'll need to do for the armor so that it looks Asymmetric. Because the way that I drew each of the short arms was just as a cut off version of the regular ones.

EDIT:
Ah okay I see now, I was under the impression that it functioned more like a Left/Right arm type of deal.

I tried to make the Chest piece and shoulders look really bulky, because in my mind I kept thinking of this buff, bad-ass dude kicking ass and taking names. (Props to Heartless Zealot though for giving me the idea to use Warhammer 40k Tau as a bit of inspiration: I.E., the Shoulders)

I was thinking the perk for the chest piece (If it becomes Unique) could be nagation of knockback or maybe an inherent bubble shield and obviously gives the best stats possible similar to that of the Helmet.

Then the Legs could do pretty much the same thing as the Exo-Suit but with slightly better stats. I wanted to paste the Exo-Suit legs beneath the ones I made here, but couldnt figure out how to make it look right.

I love it dude, what about an alternate helmet more in line with the tau with the single eye? In fact, how do you make some of the armor? I'd like to try my hand at making some. Have an idea of a Thelean hunter, maybe some other hunter sets.

Some type of clan that specifically hunts violated/hacked droden and drones and tech.. in fact I propose my character's clan of Al-Rah be dedicated to that, ;p

I use this software:
https://www.gimp.org/
Then use the colors from the helmet to build a body, arms and legs. Thats my proccess at least.

Ooh, I like it! The bulky appearance quite fits the Thellhunter's story, and the antenna on the shoulder is a nice little touch to make the armour stand out a bit more! I'll have to think about the armour perks - an integrated bubble shield would conflict with the shield augments if both are used at the same time, but a knockback reduction might work.

I've only ever known the Warhammer franchise by name, but after googling the Tau, they look like a good source of inspiration for more Avikan content!

That's a bit surprising, they have a ton in common with the tau and the use of drones is apparent, but I'm glad to see you getting inspired! they are a really cool race in the 40k universe and I'd love to help work on some assets if I can play around with that software! Like I said before I've got an eye for story telling so if you need any help fleshing out some things lemmi know

Glad ya like it! I'm in the same boat as Heartless Zealot, lore would be cool. I'm guessing everything would be on the actual Elithian Alliance website?

I've always loved creating worlds with rich histories, cultures etc., but in my opinion, actual storytelling has never been my strength. I'll let you know if I ever need some help with that!

The Elithian Alliance forumotion page is rarely used anymore, but it's a good source of information on existing lore (though some of it is outdated now). The Elithian Discord server is the go-to place for lore at the moment - it has a channel dedicated to lore discussions, as well as a channel for dumping lore documents. If you're interested in seeing more of the lore, be sure to check it out!

So for the past like 2 weeks I've been trying to get a ship design together but for some reason I cant for the life of me get something that looks like it fits!
