Ambrum fibers are harvested from the Ambrum plant, which always spawns on lush (starter) worlds. It looks a bit like cotton, but with much longer white fibers - it's quite hard to miss. At least one such plant should always spawn on your starter world, which you can break to get the fibers and a reusable seed.
