Scope of Mod
as per comments we should probably figure out what monsters could be mapped to specific temples (or gnomes / elves / dwarfs for that matter) it would be a good idea to figure out what monsters we'd want to cover here first

keep in mind that i am very aware that this could be extremely long term

  • ideally, in order to keep compatibility to Standard and NE Quests, we'd need to map NE monsters to NE buildings (probably??? actually, i have never tried it...) but we do lack normal buildings to do so in NE, this is something to maybe keep in mind until we can say for sure that this is no issue at all
  • do we want bosses? im honest here that i am biased for some of them but i do realize that something like the witch king or lich queen could be quite overpowered
  • same for the larger monsters, dragons, golems, these things; though here a nerf to the base attributes could balance things out

thats all i can think of for now

We are mostly just spitballing and doing research at this point, but comments, suggestions, and ideas are all more than welcome. This is a small enough community that we can design this together.

If it gets out of hand we will whitelist the access to our documents and ideas.

The long term idea is that we would make a custom monster campaign and not worry about the standard quests being balanced. Especially since we are messing with the core buildings, it would be very hard to balance properly. Easier to start with fresh quests.
