Hey, when I try to build a wizards guild, it just sticks to 1HP and doesn't build anymore. Can you fix this, please? Also, it doesn't seem to be compatible with Goblin Kingdom.

Update on naming -- I figured it out! I'm doing some documentation about it then relaxing for the night.

Tomorrow I will attempt to add an additional name group to see if the game is able to pick it up! If it is, then we can create a quick side-mod that names every building in the game as fun side project (meaning we'll need a lot of names).

Anyone know anything about binary file formats? Lol -- we're very close to decoding the naming file. That would allow us to add additional name lists for heroes, monsters, and buildings.

Meaning that, like the Inn, every building could have a unique name like "The Forged Knight" or something rather than just "Blacksmith #2".

the ratmen-shooting-arrows problem is fixed by the pull request i submitted at GH ;)

Dev update: messed around with adding ratmen as rogues. I'm getting weird artifacts such as the rat men shooting a rouge's arrow while melee attacking that I want to address. Having the monster interface appear rather than the heroes' interface is also unsightly.

Hoping to address these and also find a way to add icons for the monster buildings and units as well! I have ideas of how to approach it.

I need someone to start the feature write up of release 0.2. which includes figuring out which race should go to each temple!

Awesome! Yeah, may be a good time to use some sort of version control system (like Git or Subversion or something) to prevent something like this happening again. A small learning curve if you haven't used it before, but it has saved me too many times to count.

Again, if you want some help setting it up or need links just got me up.

That worked! Thanks a ton! Unfortunately, I lost the changes I made since that first upload to Steam, but that wasn't really all that much. And much better than starting over completely

I would try manually deleting your mod folder and downloading a fresh copy from the workshop. When you uninstall, it may not delete your mod folder (so it could of still had bad files in it).

I'm having an issue right now. See if you have any idea what might be causing it?

I woke up this morning, and my mod doesn't work anymore. I tried other mods, and they all work, even other mods I made. The local version that I figured I might have messed up doesn't work, so I tried the Steam version, which I KNOW was working, and it didn't work either. I had someone else check to see if the Steam version works, and it worked for them. I have no idea what's making my mod not work for me. Tried reinstalling the game. Tried restarting my computer. And yes, I am adding it to the list of active mods when I start up the game.

I completely understand the too many personal projects half-finished thing. I'm kinda similar in that regard, haha... Looking forward to seeing your ideas, too. Lkewise, feel free to take from mine to yours if you see something you like. I think I'm a little more disorganized than you, but I'll try to put together some documentation so it's easier to se what I've been doing.

All, I just created a GitHub project, please see my recent fourm post for details.

The GitHub project will be outlining the release road map and will have ways for individuals to get involved. There is more to do than just programming! We need game design decisions, research on what is possible, documentation, play testers, and scenario creators.

So feel free to message me about contributing! Every five minutes of help counts.

We will be currently working towards a 0.1 release of the monster mod, check the GitHub page for our direction and progress reports.

Hey Partheas, I appreciate you reaching out! Unfortunately, my free time is fairly limited and I keep too many personal projects half-finished (working on getting better at it lol).

So publish away! I don't see an issue with it either; especially after you already put time into it. I'm eager to see what you came up with. Maybe you did all of the things I was planning to do and just saved me from having to do it lol.

I'll be posting my documentation, ideas, and source code as the week goes on - so feel free to steal what you can for your own project or reach out if you have questions about anything.

Hey, reth! Long story short, I've always wanted to be able to recruit goblins in this game, ever since playing Darkness Falls. I thought it was the coolest thing having those little guys running around. So I was very excited to see this mod. I watched for a while, and never saw any progress for a few months. So I actually recently started working on a goblin mod of my own, and it should also be playable enough that I was going to put it up public this weekend. Odd coincidence, that.

I've put a bit of work into it, so I don't really want to see that work end up for naught. But I also don't really want to step on toes, seeing as you've had this project sitting here for a while. I personally don't see an issue with having different mods that do a similar thing. Do you mind it?

I'll be posting some links so that everyone can give their two cents as far as design direction. If you want to get into modding, now is the time lol. The tasks should fairly straightforward for new modders.

Something serious came up, but I'm hoping to have something going by the end of the weekend.

Our first task going to be getting something playable into your hands.

Good Lord an Evil mode so you can play as a Lich or Dragon controlling other enemy types as heros would be fantastic!!!! This is a step in that direction and i love it

Not sure if there is a way to add buildings to the Palace build window yet, but if there is then I want them to be along side the human buildings (so quests/freestyle can choose what they want to include).

Otherwise, we will be stuck with a completely new race (toggled on/off by the mod menu).

Do you mean you gonna make new buildings so we can hire monsters? Or will it be comletely new race like you can play human or goblins?
