Haven management: Does the intel job generate more missions?
Whenever I have no soldiers available because they're all infiltrating somewhere, I go ahead and move all haven staff away from the intel job. My reasoning is I don't want any missions to pop up because I can't do them anyway.

But I'm wondering if I'm going at this the right way. Does having staff on the intel job generate more missions? Or do I always get the same number of missions, and the intel job just gives me more time for infiltration by detecting them earlier?

advent is conducting all sorts of ♥♥♥♥ behind your back. The more people on intel, the highert chance you'll have of finding something. You can then disrupt whatever they're doing by sending in your soldiers to complete an objective. So, sort of

Thank you, I guess I will keep my rebels on the intel job then. I guess if a more promising mission comes up, I can always pull soldiers out of infiltration and put them on the new mission.

No point intel unless you have a fair amount on it though. 1 or 2 will just give you missions with little time.

Specifically, ADVENT is constantly spawning missions, putting people on intel increases the chance that someone will detect those missions and make them available to you. Lots on intel means they're more likely to catch things early so you can get nice juicy infiltrations, less means you'll catch them later or not at all, but the missions are there either way.
