Load DSMP before 5XCPC.

Ok I have 5X, DSMP, and then the 5XDSMP Compatible top 3. Loaded up a new game, and I can select Galatic Trading right off the bat, and it allows me to exit the tech screen. Where as before, it would not allow me to.

Spoke too soon. Galactic Trading still has a broken link, which does not allow it to show up in available technologies to research.

Dropped 5X. Just loaded the DSMP, and its Marco Economics that is missing in the previous MOD load order.

Are you using UCP?

DLed. Did not install UCP.

If you want to use the full DSMP, you need to install UCP (you also can't run the full DSMP without 5X) Even if you don't want to use that mod, UCP is a must-have for this game since it's so buggy without it. After running the installer, you should use the load order:

5X
UCP
DSMP
5XCPC

That should fix it.

Basically the issue with DSMP is the author didn't update it to keep up with the later 5X tech tree changes. The 5XCPC mod, originally intended to make 5X and UCP work together, was modified to fix the DSMP issues if you loaded it after DSMP as a sort of quick fix. That made UCP a de-facto requirement for DSMP.
