suggestion/ request: drone defense
love the drones in this, and sort of want more of them purely for defense on hostile plannets.


I was wondering if you could make a building item that builds and maintains drones for defense, as well as allows for modification of the drones.


example for the flying one the thing would look like a landing pad, and have 2 slots in it, one for changing out the drones gun and another for changing out its armor. the pad would maintain one drone similar to tenants, once drone is destroyed it will respawn shortly after.


note haven't really gotten the drones from this yet so no clue how they work at the moment premimptive idea may be mute.

umm yea why not a traveling spider (thats small) that carrys 4 drones (that have lasers)

There's honestly no way I could make customisable drones, sorry.

But I will probably try make some more types of drones/robots. The drones work differently to a NPC, so colony deeds for robots wont work. I have been investigating using the standard spawners but I've not found a way to get them to respawn. I will keep looking into it.

just look at how the missions spawn things like the minigog drones, setting up a spawner, which checks to see if its spawned item is alive shouldn't be that hard, especially if it only checks every once and a while.

simple I/O thing, if detects its spawn is still alive does nothing if it dectects it is dead spawns new one.
