Client-side Only Version?
I really like the premise of this mod, but I would like a vanilla-compatible version of this mod, without the renaming and saved-inventory chest storage. Are there any mods that are similar to this one, or could one be created?

I won't create a seperate version with all the server-side features removed.
If it's only installed on client then the rename & saved inventory feature is disabled.

I was actually thinking the same thing since if you are playing with steam's dedicated servers wouldn't the server side thing turn on when another person joins?

If you start singleplayer you are essentially running a listen server with identical mods.
Yes, all features are enabled when another person joins your game.
No, I will still not release a separate mod.
