1. Change the font size of your LCD to get the ship to fit well in the screen
2. Go into the script itself and change the border_width value near the top to add some more padding to each side of the ship. This will allow you to center the image approximately.

I would check out the discussion of the _h _v and _hv modifiers in the script description on the workshop.
Here's an example: screen_diagnostic_1_1_hv
My ship is vannila but has some half-constructed blocks on it. no rotors/pistons etc.
Can you post a screenshot of what you see on the screen as well as what the programming block says in the terminal?
Looks like the program is running fine.
