What font size are you using? You might need to reduce it in the text panel options.

This usually happens with large ships, since with the default font size they're too big for the screen.

im using the smallest it can go

btw I zoomed it out far enought to see the edge of the block of crosses still nothing

Are you on the Development branch or the stable branch of Space engineers? Do you know?

I dont even nkow how to change it to begin with

Another user ran into a similar issue, it may be related to mods. Are you using any modded blocks?

Check the color of the screen and change it to white. I had a similar issue to yours where the screen color was set to a custom color, and the script wasn't showing any color contrast.

Same here, fixed by changing screen color to white.

my guess is they forgot a step or didnt setup the timer right.. It happend to me for a sec and I relised I forgot to setup the timer to reload itself lol..

no i had it right the screen had the little crosses on it and nothing else

This does not work att all for me. Tried it on my WIP large ship. Nothing showed up on the lcd, checked timer, programable block and lcd multiple times. Everything's set up correctly. When i tried it on a large ~10 block grid same thing happend, except the whole game froze and left my 8 gigs of ram att 100%. No mods used.
