- I suggest not to start with Germany in War against Great Britain, France and Poland. To declare war is a big decision and the player should be able to make them by his or her own. (To be historicaly correct, GER was not at war in January 1939.^^)
- If you want to simulate the situation in Sept. 1939, there must be an äquivalent to the Hitler-Stalin-Pact. I think this can not be enabled with the diplomacy of Civ 5. There must be a declaration of friendship between GER and USSR at least. My suggestion: Start in Januay 1939, as the counter say, and let all Civs beeing neutral to each other. Perhaps you can make declarations of friendship between those that share the same ideology.
- If you could make the mod work with Future Worlds, you could give a bit more differeneces between the Civs in the techs at the beginning
- It shold not be opportun to destroy cities, because they also can not be founded
- The concept of religion is a problem in the gameplay: Historicaly the WW II was not a religious conflict, but in Civ 5 religion is an important part of the game. That is why, at the moment, the Human Player can build the Hagia-Sophia-Wonder at the beginning, found a religion, and it will be the only one in the game. Nice to play, but not realistic. :) The Problem must be solved in a way, that at least the biggest Civs (including USSR) have got their oiwn religions. It is not realistic, I know, but important to the gameplay.
- Compatibility with other mods is nice to have, but can be difficult and time consuming. Sometimes impossible. It may be done at some point, but it is not the first priority.
- I know the war didn't start in January, but I am not sure how to start the game in september. If anyone can be helpful in this regard, that would be much appreciated.
- The Molotov-Ribbentrop pact is at the moment only represented by a common war against Poland. A DoF seems like a good idea to add. We don't have any event-driven diplomacy planned right now, but this and the subsequent breaking of the pact in 1941 would definitely be a good candidate.
- Your suggestion of a start before the war is allready planned. In the 1933 start, as stated above, there will be no pre-declared wars.
- The current version should not permit razing cities. Are you able to do that?
- I am aware of the problem with Hagia Sofia. We plan to have it pre-built and disable relgion founding. There will not be religions, but we might reappropriate them as ideologies/public sympathy or something.
