Yes, the latest update should load within the mod launcher then add the mod into the right side page within the launcher window if Ace isn't already there.
We've heard of issues with the mod launcher recently for some players. Is your mod launcher doing fine? We also have an alternate download link if the Steam download has issues:

If you were already using TL2-ACE, the mod launcher might not update the mod with the newest version. If you weren't using TL2-ACE already, then the mod launcher might not load the mod at all. If either of these is the case, then use the mediafire link that Steffire has provided. I can verify that the update downloaded successfully for me from that link, because the mod launcher isn't working properly for me.

Ok .. simply delete the old file in the mod folder and add the new one, or simply overwrite it.
and the game continues...

My Launcher its ok..only essentials
It doesn't show essentials, although the mod is in the folder, synergies and other mods are displayed and also work..
Essentials no works for me.

This type of thing was happening to me. Not all of my mods were showing in the mod launcher, even if they were in the mod folder. If I then subscribed to another mod to check if it would show up, that mod would not even get dowloaded into the mod folder.

The mod launcher would also say that all mods were up to date, but they weren't, since it was still using an older version of the TL2-ACE mod.

Please see this thread, in the general TL2 forum, if you can confirm to yourself that the mod launcher is not working properly for you.

Please make certain that your mod launcher is using the newest version of TL2-ACE. If you have a high enough character and can find an open entrance for The Grand Fortress in the Act 6 Docks area, then you have the correct version. If the Grand Fortress is still closed, then you have an older version.

Since the game's mod-launcher is not working for me, I had to download the mod from the external site. I don't know if the Steam Workshop version has this also, but I notice that there is a printed line at the bottom of the title screen that tells me the version number of the mod. You can compare that to what Corley says is the latest version.

I found out that the Grand Fortress does not scale the enemies with your character, so everything will be at least level 100 in there.
