At the moment the Professor's main purpose is to guide the player to the Temple Valley.
The next round of development will have access to the Professor. At the moment the current 8 maps are available for farming gems from the boss chests until further updates.
You're welcome! Glad to say that the latest update now enables players to access the Professor at the beginning of the Temple Valley map and complete this Quest without traversal issues.
