  • What version of Gnomoria you're running.
  • What other mods you are using.
  • What problem did you run into? What did you expect to happen?
  • What are the steps you did that resulted in the issue?

The Experimentation Station has no workshop graphics and crashes the game if you try and left click to place it. Using 1.0 version, no other mods. Crashes in both a brand new game with just this mod, as well as in a game that has been going for a while (with multiple mods loaded).

Any chance you can post the save file for the new world that it's breaking for? I made a new game with only this mod in it and was able to craft up an experimentation station just fine. Is the crash a hard crash with Gnomoria stopping or is there a large black chunk on your screen where the workshop should be?

Once I click (using the hotkey bars) the experimentation station workshop, it goes back to the main screen, with the cursor looking like normal, and nothing unusual under the cursor, as in the workshop is perfectly clear. So no black chunks. If I right click (normally cancels the workshop) I can resume playing like nothing happened. If I left click (placing the invisible workshop) I get a Windows crash to desktop related to:

\AppData\Local\Temp\WER77FC.tmp.WERInternalMetadata.xml
\AppData\Local\Temp\WER8DED.tmp.appcompat.txt
\AppData\Local\Temp\WER8EC9.tmp.mdmp


What's more interesting is that I tried placing the workshop through the right click contextual menu and it showed the actual workshop just fine, I placed it just fine too. As in no bug/crash/working fine when placing the station through right click -> build menu. Using my save with a lot of mods, I was able to even build it just fine using the right click menu as well. I waited and a gnome did start researching too. That's all the time I had to test though.

Thanks so much for your response! I never use the bottom bar, so that would explain it being the problem. I'll take a look tonight after work and hopefully put up an update soon.

I love this mod thank you for making it. not sure if its just me but i'm not able to use weapons and armor made from the new metals. other than that seams to work great for me thaks

@firedew and @Divinewrath Thank you both for your reports. The latest version has the fixes for the bugs you reported and should sync the next time your mod updates. Let me know if you still have any issues!

@GrizzlyNacho i'm not sure if it's a bug or me just being unlucky with rng, either way it's 2 merchent trading settlements, and a mining settlement. i have the elemental kingdoms mod, fenrirs mod, and tacyn's base mod. i'm a little confused tbh seeing as far as i can tell none of these mods affect merchants. i was mostly wondering how rare the seeds are for trading and if my kingdom worth is to low for them to sell them to me.

*edit* acually now that i think about it, tacyn's base mod introduces new animals to trade for, all of which i haven't been to find. so it may be an issue between your mod and his.

The seeds should be available from the start, but it's important to note that merchant settings are determined pretty early. From my testing it looked like it was from world creation. Any chance you added this mod after world creation or after you obtained those merchants?

Doctors wont favour magesteel prosthetics over other materials,but they will install them, if there's no alternative.

@ironswagoftangojam I'm not sure then. If your traders aren't from merchant states then that could be a cause. I only added them to Merchant and Agriculture if memory serves.

I am running the most up to date version of the game
it can see the mod but I can't enable it when I start a new game and it is not in the Steam Workshop folder in my file system.
any help you can give will be a great help.

Couple of things. I made a new game. Got to the point where I tried to build the alchemy stuff. Ran across some issues. Installed alchemy mod 2 days ago. Gnomaria of 1.0. No other mods.

The scrapper. The alchemist loves taking build orders for bars, then taking a bar, breaking it into 8 metal slivers, and then repeating as it didn't get a bar from those metal slivers. Net loss of 2 slivers per cycle which won't stop as I still need a bar. Alchemy will slowly remove all the bars in my kingdom.

The breaker. Where does this come from? Is it a merchant? Is it a crafted item? If so where? I know some of the seeds come from merchants. Maybe throw in a couple helpful hints on the main steam workshop page.

You should be able to make a beaker at the kiln. I never ran into that particular scrapper and alchemist cycle. I intended the recipe as a way to manually create bars when you realize you have some slivers lying around. I don't know of a way to break the ai's loop if you're dead set on keeping it auto-creating bars.
