continuing the bug report, the only thing i can think of that might do this is the VJ base... but i doubt it. the mouse cursor works, but my aim is always in the upper left corner when not holding W or S

EDIT for merging double post:
this of course is still with the HL2 reticule showing in the middle of the screen... and the whole "always after a menu is brought up thing"

Like does the mouse cursor show on screen, can you move it? Also i know the cursor still shows, small update in a few

yes, it does, but it's blinking. i went to do more tests and found out once it's been borked, one also cannot use the menus.
pause menu still works, just that ingame menus are unusable.

Any steps to replicate it? I've only ran into the cursor temporarily missing?

well, it starts off with my hud missing and my aim pointed towards the upper left corner. this is upon starting just about any map. to fix not being able to aim, i have to use the 'cl_sidescroller 1' command. however. any attempts to use the spawn or context menu result in me being unable to aim anymore. it usually happens around the same time my HUD pops back up, and i don't have any HUD mods.

with addons. i'll see what happens when i disble all others

UPDATE: after functioning without addons, i decided to trial and error til i got it working

i came close: it was functioning, but too many mods were off to isolate the troublemaker.

Final edit: Conflicting addon found: Badass SWEPs.

i can move left and right but i cant move forward or backward it only faces my model away or toward the screen.

There's a reason why it's called Sidescroller, set cl_sidescrolling to 0 to be able to walk around normally.

You cant go 3rd person while on a seat/vehicle with Ctrl

You can't go into thirdperson while in a vehicle, because you are already in thirdperson! Unless you mean when sidescrolling is off...

I'm aware of why it's called sidescroller. I was trying to touch on being able to move forward or backward because most maps are not designed for this gamemode.

Yeah i know that's why i added a console command for disabling.
