Haven't played a lot on planets yet so I wouldn't know, but it would seem that the guidance system doesn't know what air is :D. The friction and gravity differance between a planet and space would be throwing the script used to guide the missile. Maybe wait until a guidance script that works in atmos comes out, or keen patch it on thursday. Sorry if i wasn't any help.

It's not designed for atmospheric flight. :P Working on a version that does.

The script works fine in any environment. There is no friction and gravity does not affect the tracking method. 5URG3 and Dark Lord have had no issues using this code for atmospheric missiles. It is the ion thrusters that are likely causing the failure. If you use atmospheric thrusters it will work fine.

so hydrogen thrusters?
i tried the atmospheric ones, which did not work at all
