You're right. And I will update my mod, but for the moment I cannot do anything due to some problems with my PA. I will add the research and maybe create more things later on when I can.
I think it'd be pretty good to dot them around your prison exits for Escape Mode
Being able to pause the game also makes the game itself very OP: I could just pause the game, drag a square and move all the guards to a desired location. If I am being forced to spend 100 $ to do the same why shouldn't I just keep pausing and dragging and moving the guards by myself?
I have tried save en reloading, and deactivating-activating the mod. Mods I have active:
- Dispatch Mod
- CCTV Camera Arrows
- Clearer Needs Icons
- New Windows Slope 2
I am not sure if it's only me or if others have problems with this. Just thought I should tell you. I am still using it, cause it's still handy. And I don't mind the pay everytime I dispatch someone.
I do have some ideas if you're interested (next post).
1. Sector based group call
I usually build large prisons. If I dispatch Armed Guards, they will all come. In my mind, I have allocated enough (Armed) Guards at a certain wing. The rest should not come. In programming terms, I would like to see that when I call for a group, only the ones in that particular security area (Med Sec for example) that have been connected to eachother. If there is another Med Sec area but it's not connected because Min Sec or other security area sits in between, security from the other area should not come.
2. Dispatch Console
How cool can this be? You could expand this mod. You put a Dispatch Console in a Security Room. This activates your ability to dispatch your staff.
Simple, but if there is a CCTV Monitor active and there is trouble the Dispatcher could send any free guard in that area (again "Sector based group call" but that only the free guards).
- If you implement this, dispatching should be "free". You are paying the guard that is on the dispatch console and 1000 for the console (like any other Security Room console);
- Every Security Room should have one Dispatch console because the Dispatcher can only send units to places with a camera connected to that Security Room, which makes sense, no?
- Alternatively if you don't make the Dispatcher send guards on it's own (because: reasons), you could still implement the console to activate the Dispatch ability. Effectively should this replace the cost, but only one is needed to the entire prison.
I think this could be very cool! ^_^
