What resource are you trying to get? Cementing paste?

Sounds like you want the trilobites for the chitin to make cementing paste.

I've also noticed that the dams seem busted, but have a huge stockpile of cementing paste from when they did work.

I have been getting a ton of chitin from my Mosa killing dunks and Eurypterids. Occasionally on the sea floor I kill a few trilobites, so yes, they are out there.

I know at some point I will be panicking if things don't get fixed soon too. The Dunk and Eurypterid spawns have been disabled. I'm just killing the 10,000 or so that originally spawned in ridiculous quantities, crashing some servers :)

Trilobites are pretty much everywhere sometimes you can find them really deep in the water sometimes they are a couple on the beach. Also you can find trilobites at the volcano. There are like 2 lakes over there. With 100 oxygen you are good. It's not that deep tho.

thanks for the reply.....one of our server admins went down for a look and couldnt find anything.....at this point, it would take to long to get enough paste to make a metal structure.....it isnt feasable to do this.....why the devs did this and made a crap load of metal and obsidian, yet no way to make metal walls is stupid

Just to let you know. There are frogs on the map where you can tame them and kill bugs so it will automatically make CP for you. At least you have 10x more bugs then it used to exist before. Until beaver dams are fixed you can do that. Bugs are pretty much everywhere, around lakes, around shores, swamp, the only spot that u cant find them is the volcano island and some of the north islands.

Yeah, there is nothing there...in those lakes...just kelp weed and perals and some oil...admin is at other lake and nothing there....so no....no trilobites at all...devs should fix the dams at least....not blaming it on the ark devs......ark devs fixed the beaver dams and they work as they should.....if they are broken (which they are) on valhalla, then its the map...I mean hawks are flying under the ocean and coming out its rediculous

Sounds like a bad install of the map though. Beaver dams should be fixed this (upcoming) update which should be tomorrow or Friday. There are trilobites in those lakes on the Volcano lakes. And no hawks are flying under the ocean and coming out ..

how to correct the bad install? I assume a full reinstall on the server....And that would mean losing everything too

I have no idea, as I don't do any server management.

so go check the pic i put on my profile....also..it does the same in singleplayer, which means its the mod.....i downloaded from steam of course..as everyone does.....

Another option to get chitin to make paste, is get yourself a few dire wolves or a few high level sabers. These are both good at getting chitin. Go around killing everything on a mountain top. You will get plenty of meat, pelt, and chitin up there. You then just need some stone, and you will have plenty. Get yourself a mated pair, that gives them an attack boost. Always bring both when you go out. This is what I do, I have two dire wolves and I end up dropping pelt and meat and even chitin, I have so much, although I haven't made much steel yet, but I plan to make a serious metal refining base in the next week up on a mountain.

Yea dunno what your problem is but the Valhalla server I'm playing on has plenty of trilobites at 68.5 22.4 just walked out into the water an saw 15 of them
