I've played center and Valhalla, and I just can't get past how nicely and simply Valhalla is laid out. I get that there are some issues, but I'd still take it over vanilla and center. I'm sure the devs will get onto these issues eventually, but we all have r/l to worry about I guess.

One of the devs just commented on the mod page, also if you check their discord they are more active there. They plan on releasing an update to the map this week, he said hopefully by the end of this week, that will fix most if not all of the current issues people have been seeing lately. Considering how long it's been since an update I'm sure it's going to include a large number of fixes..

Valhalla is the best map that I've played and still only play it. so take yoru caln and go to the center who cares bunch of cry babies BTW there are alot of issues with the center also so dont think the grass is greener a lot of mods dont even work on it. As far as actual natural look and feel valhall has them all beat. If you want cod cookie cutter maps go for it

Josey Wales i cant agree with you more .. One most of important thing about the valhalla is the size of map. Center is just a nice looking map but there are no space for larger group of players. Good work Valhalla team and we hope you will suprize with new suff sooner or later .. Thanks Snake.

Kepano - I am uncertain why you are having issues - so far the map has been great with few issues. Some graphical glitches but that is about it. We have noticed beavers are only spawning in up to lvl 150 but everything else is fine so far on all dinos. Annunaki Genesis is loaded and that is working as well. The Center Map sadly has problems ever since Wildcard took it over. Preventing people from building in several places (including bottom level of floating island) and has the spawn problem. If you do not reboot your server once every 48 hours you can get into an issue with the number of spawn entities getting out of control that causes other issues usch as game backups not occuring every 2 hours as they typically do. Wild Dino wipe on reboot doesnt always work. I know this because I have tested it. I have to go in and do a wild dino wipe while server is up and make sure everyone is off then reboot and dont have issues. TheCenter.ark file usually drops 30-60MB in size after doing a dino wipe of the excessive spawns. Good luck with the center map. Annunaki Genesis doesnt work well with this map due to the wildcard mucking.

Bottom line Valhalla is a much better map overall in terms of design, dino spawns, etc. Crystal could be upped and some more oil nodes, but I pretty much know where most of the oil nodes are already. Center Map is a great map too but its locations and where dinos spawns just leaves you a bit flat in its dynamics. A bigger map with dinos spread out really does help instead of them all clustered in certain areas.

Hawks flying underwater and sharks eating them.....sure thing buddy...great map design....cant build on ruins....you can in the center,,,not on vahalla...

you all know there are issues with valhalla....yet you are some fan bois i guess...you claim stuff isnt wrong...I even had a dev tell me hawks dont fly underwater at the volcano..yet others have it as well even after a clean install.....When offered the pics....of course, he didnt want to see proof..

Personally i love the look and feel of the Valhalla map, but when we reset the server after the Primitive+ DLC is released I would have a hard time supporting going with it again due to large number of crashes members of my clan, including myself, have experienced.

While it's true that The Island and The Center are far from perfect, but in my 600+ hours on them I don't recall ever having a fatal error crash as I have consistantly on Valhalla. The number I'm having seem to have been greatly reduced by the last patch, but it happening a couple times a day is still unacceptable, especially when it normally seems to occur when moving between regions, which means I'm outside our base on a dino somewhere suddenly *Poof* I'm no longer playing.
