Did you add any launch parameters to your Ark Properties setting?

It's unofficial, and no.

I would check your launch parameters and make sure you aren't actually using any, also I can 100% confirm that the use of "-sm4" will make the sky black during the day. I wanted to improve my FPS so I use several commands when I launch my game, before using them the map was perfectly fine, normal day etc. but I wanted some better frames and as soon as I started using -sm4 I now have the night sky during the day.. To me it is DEFINITELY worth it for better frames but I might actually remove that one parameter because it's starting to annoy the hell out of me lol..

Another thing you can try is to shut down everything using Ark, unsubscribe from the mod, go to your mod directory and delete the mod files and then re-subscribe and re-download the mod. This can help fix a lot of problems..
