Map shown differently than it actually is
When moving around on the valhalla map I sometimes walk through the map and walk above it like it's normal land. The bushes and trees that would normally be on top of the ground are also floating in the parts I walk above the ground. I haven't had this problem on any other map before. No one else on this server has experienced this issue and everything is normal for them. Also, my map is blurry and in some parts of land it shows on the map that I'm in the ocean.

If anyone knows how I could fix this please tell me.

Had this same issue then realized it was my graphic card , once I changed that .. everything was as it should be.

Is there any way you could fix it without changing your graphic card? I have a 960M, which is apparently one of the best ones, and I use a laptop to play ARK, so it's not that easy to change it.

You try can lowering your settings, from the options in Ark, if on high or epic change it , it depends on your processor and Ram too
Ark eats 4Gb of ram , 2GB of graphic card and atleast an I5 4 core processor
that is for the minimum settings .. That is the best advice I have , if it continues to have floating trees ect .. its just something annoying to deal with , I did for a while.

All my settings are on low and turned down. I have an i7 processor, which is a very good one, and lots of ram, so I still can't figure out why I'm having this problem. Thanks for the help though.

I had the same problem some time ago. I lowered many settings to increase performance and the problem popped up. I am not sure but i think it is the textures setting. if not try to set some other to medium
Unhinged Takes 4 JUN 2016 a las 15:19
to anyone that has this problem put your ground clutter at half and make sure your running on medium textures

HEAVY WORK IN PROGRESS
-Completion is about 80%
Please check the high quality materials box in your settings, along with max mesh detail to see the map properly, we are working on addressing those issues.

I have the same problem, but it only appears after I've been in the inventory screen a few times. I don't know why going into the inventory screen does this and make the textures go to low res at the same time, but it does. And others have reported this issue.

Is this a continuous problem for you or does it just develop after some playing time?

I checked the high quality materials and maxed mesh detail and it fixed the problem. I saw that a few days ago and thought i tried it, but when I looked the high quality materials box, it wasn't checked. I probably just checked a different box on accident and wasn't paying attention or something when I first saw it.

It was doing that since my first time on that map. I fixed it by checking the high quality materials box, but I don't know why it would do it from opening your inventory.

Yeah its because youre using low graphics, then this happens.

You have to use atleast medium for the texture to show correctly. Me and my 3 friends doesnt have this bug but one friend who plays on low has this also.

Ok thanks, if I ever have that problem again I'll try that.
