I am not the best with mods but tell me what mods you are running.
It might be a compatiability issue.
Also list your PC specs.

same thing happened to me but it turns out the game was paused and all i had to do was press the spacebar

my game always crashes

As stated above, as soon as you arrive at the Hawk, press "Enter" to unfreeze/unpause the game. Simple.

@ReV, I tried it but it doesn't work.

it froze on me
all it wants you to do is deckout all of your companions
when you put something in the slots it will work (and level up)

All you gotta do is just push space bar, it unfreezes.

I tried the above-mentioned fixes, such as unpausing the game and even changing equipment. The characters are still stuck in place and menus (when I finally can open them) freeze/glitch. Was unable to exit the game normally as well, had to Alt-F4.

at some point i encountered this bug, i entered the pause menu and back out and it unfroze, spacebar didnt work. pause menu then close that seems to be the main solution.

i am playing the game right now with this mod activated and it froze up when i warped to the end of Peragus but i was able to unfreeze it by pressing either the shift button or the shift button and the enter button either of those two button combinations should work
