Then its a conflicting addon or a server download ficking it up, or your game is just broken

Purchase and install Half Life 2: Episode 1 and Half life 2: Episode 2 then mount it to :gmod:arry's Mod but if it still doesn't show the blue beam in the portal then install HL2 EP2 Particle Effect Fix.
