Don't Starve Together though is a different situation. Perhaps when it is released I will update this mod to be DST compatible and implement said changes to DS as well.
1) Mushbrella: I might make it longer and add a bit of light. I avoid making recipes require more than 3 items. Although it feels a bit OP if it had light. I will need to test this myself.
2) Log Helmet: I am afraid I will keep the Log Helmet as it is. The reason behind this is that if I made it a separate item the Football Helmet would become entirely useless as gathering Logs is far easier than collecting Pig Skin.
3) Bee Bat: I felt it would be out-of-place if I moved it into the combat tab because it uses mostly shadow themed items and the concept of putting bee stings on a bat feels rather dark/disgusting. I based the recipe on the Dark Sword. Removing the sanity drain and shadow fuel would make it ridiculously OP in my opinion.
4) Hound items/fur: The Varg is one of the most useless boss-like mobs introduced in DS: Reign of Giants (aside from farming purposes). Someone suggested to me I should give it a purpose, and this is the result. Instead of the player being pissed by finding a Varg instead of a Koalefant, they have a chance to obtain something decent instead. Giving the Wolves the possibility of dropping Fur would make the Varg useless again.
5) Hornicopia: I believe your idea comes from the fact the player blows the horn instead of eating it; which was never my intention. It was meant to be an edible, none spoiling item like all food items but had multiple uses and it would be refilled by a new item called "Stuffing" made through the Crock Pot. It was never even meant to drop the Guardian horn but due to limitations I had to stick with this idea. I would follow through with your idea had this items true purpose be implemented properly in the first place.
6) Beefalo Coat: It lacks the Beefalo Horn in its recipe. If I made it have the same effect as the Beefalo Hat it would have to require the Beefalo Horn, but at the same time it would defeat the purpose of the Beefalo Coat as an alternate means of winter clothing.
