If you are on Win 11 (which causes crashes in many games after last update) try:
"Windows 11 battle loading crash issue - Check CPU Affinity settings and uncheck one of the CPUs. Task Manager - Details - Right click Rome 2 exe, set affinity."

Is there a way to permanently set the CPU affinity? Now i have to set it each time i launch the game

I don't know, I am on Win10 still so I never had to check for this option.

Same here, I think. Battles won't load, the game hasn't crashed at least from task manager perspective just the loading bar never moves. I was just playing 2 days ago, just fought a battle and saved after. Started it up again and now battles don't load, campaign and others.

My game crashes the moment I try to move to turn 2. Everytime. I've tried reinstalling, verifying and don't know why its not working. May just unsub at this point.

i think Rome 2 stopped working because of the windows update. I could be wrong though, i had some crashes loading into battles, however now, I cant even get the game to work. Sure I can load in but if i wanted to run a battle of any sorts, the unit roster wont even show up. I was playing just yesterday and everything was fine, however today it wasn't. I've uninstalled and done a fresh install several times but still...ashame.
