Try to verify game files, it usually helps with random crashes.
Only other thing that can cause them are hardware issues, like maybe overheating or running low on memory, depending if you get error message.
i also have tried verifying game files with no success.
i also have the game on highest graphics and i experience some hard lags and fps drops in large battles, so i turned down the graphics and for today i have experienced zero crashes, for now.
if i experience more crashes i will turn off the pikes mod.
