They purely make this for financial gain, perhaps for internet clout as well.
The only way they'll stop is if Valve themselves tells them to stop, which they won't because modern day Valve couldn't give a single ♥♥♥♥ about this game, shown by how incompetent they are when adding new stuff to the game while it's still fundamentally broken.
The only thing we as a community can do is point out ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ like this, both from creators that make ♥♥♥♥ like this as well as Valve themselves, and publicly shame them.
The simple fact is, like many things the Emporium has forced into the game, these charms do not fit the style of the game. We already have plenty of weapon cosmetic items like festives, botkillers, and warpaints that, while not perfect, are a hell of a lot more interesting than these charms. All these are is another thing to trick gullible people into gambling for items they don't need all so valve and the emporium can extract profit from the game without having to seriously address any of the problems this game has.
Frankly, I think it's pathetic that the original discussion was deleted. You guys have a monopoly on community content added to the game, but you can't handle a bunch of random people simply telling you that these items don't belong? Give me a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ break. I've met children that can handle criticism better than the Emporium. At the end of the day, you're putting something on the workshop that you at least have some interest in getting into the game. As someone who plays said game, I have every right to tell you how I feel about its potential inclusion into TF2. If you don't like what I or others have to say, that's fine, but don't act like a spoiled brat and delete people's genuine criticism. Grow up.
Genuine question.
TF2 players hated botkillers thus aussies were made. These are botkillers (lite) that only serve to line the pockets of those who made it, nothing more then a cheap imitation of the (already quite crap) charms of CS2
As said above, time and time again nobody has wanted these useless items that serve no purpose other than to line workshop creator inventories. They don't serve any purpose besides being another type of cosmetic item to inflate the economy with. They're utterly useless in the grand scheme of things, every game which has added charms has had them thrown to the back less than a year after release because all the owners say and do with it is "LOOK AT ME, I SPENT A GORILLION DOLLARS ON THIS ONE UNIQUE ITEM THAT RELEASED BACK IN 1352 AFTER THE FALL OF CONSTANTINOPLE AND WAS APART OF A CRATE THAT HAD A 0.6% CHANCE OF DROPPING IT!"
We've got plenty of cosmetics as it is, and Valve doesn't need to add any more - if anything we've got **too many** cosmetics. We need to dial it back and focus on the actual issues of the game and the root cause of why so many people are finally deciding to drop TF2 after the 2022/2023 revival.
