Should Damestear be so common?
I have played the EU4 mod, I'm not super deep into the lore but from what I remember Damestear was pretty rare and valuable, mainly found in random comets.

Here it seems to be very abundant and also not worth a lot. There is one law variant that lets you change from artificery banned to nation of magic to nation of artifice. the main benifit of going from nation of magic to nation of artifice is that you can syntheticaly create damestear in reagent labs but like I said Damestear is already so abundantly available in mines or digsites that you never need it. It also isn't consumed a lot the main consumers are artifice factories and to a smaller part mage towers. So my mines are never really at capcity.

If anything reagent goods seem to be the damestear in vic3. it is used in everything and makes everything way better. And before you get those reagent labs you are trying to scour your suroundings for convenient ressources to get more reagents naturally.

I'm not sure if its because I am not relying so much on automatons but so far the demand for damestear seems to be pretty low and the source very abundant at the same time.

yeah i suspect damestear is meant to be the oil allagory in this world.

Though the mod has choosen to allow you to sythentically produce all the limited resources in the game (Oil, damestear, rubber.)

Tbh i don't mind it, because there is a moment in the mid game when lack of damestear is what holds back your economy.

Maybe if they wanted to turn this up they could make the mines less common or the production of it less common.

Tbh i never see the use of the blue blood extraction method that kills mages to get damestear, it never seems worth it. just wait until you get the upgraded version

Like I said damestear hasn't really been holding me back in any of my games unless i build an absurd amount of robots. I always need more reagent goods though. Is damestear used in anything else except mage towers and arty doodads?

Its just weird, in EU4 i was like "wow damestear that is super rare and valuable" and in vic 3 it's "oh damestear not worth alot i need more coal instead" I don't feel that with the other substances. Flawless steel is pretty valuable for tools. Reagents for everything. Diamonds gives money. magical curious and arty doodads are consumed by pops and have a high value. It's just damestear that is the odd one out. If i have any precursor dig sites i build them for the magical curios the damestear is reducing their proifts.

Didn't know the blue blood extraction kills mages haven't needed to use that. Thb I didn't know that they suck out blood of the mages out but they definetly deserve it. Dumb war wizards think they are invincible.
