Have you checked mod options? If the pawn is unable to haul, there's an override for H&H tasks
They will do only for the last stack. They will just reach actually overloaded once (as if they were carrying the extra stack in the hands)
They will leave the stack behind if they are already overloaded.
My tests are done with core, harmony and H&H.
They will pick up the last stack they harvested, no matter how much it weights.
They only pick once to overload. e.g. 34kg/35kg and pick last stack of 30 iron (or more if the pawn skill is higher) results in 64kg/35kg that's okay. They will instantly try to unload and won't pick again if they are already overloaded.
Nevertheless they should be able to carry (in their hands) if you give them the order to haul, even overloaded; so you can "trick" the system to carry "double in hands" as my mod tries to simulate they are using their hands while overloading.
An extreme example:
Pawn is mining with 34/35kg
Some other pawn drops (intentionally, by your order) 5 stacks of 75 iron near your first pawn (max 5x5)
Mining pawn gets 30 iron from the last vein. It picks those 30 and the 5 stacks too, 439/35kg
The pawn is given an order to haul other stack of 75
It will haul that stack, and queue "unload yields" task, which does instantly after dropping the normal haul stack. Then drops all the iron collected with H&H (assuming there's a valid storage available)
If there's not enough place to store everything, it will linger in their inventory (probably remaining overloaded, thus won't be autopicking if goes back to mining or other task) and will keep queuing the unload task from time to time, until you set a new valid storage (will remember those are marked as "yield" and need to be unloaded) or you manually drop into the ground.
I've also found that they try to harvest world detritus like leaves/etc and that seems to also get them stuck, but I've had less luck reproducing as when they decide to do this for some reason their Gear tab stops loading.
They also seem to sometimes prioritize unloading over being drafted. I can draft a pawn that has unloading queued and they'll just wander off and keep trying to unload after I've drafted them unless I unload them manually first.
No errors are generated on any of these incidents.
No idea what you talka about detritus, tell again if you manage to reproduce
There's an option in mod options to let the mod pause in the pawn that's drafted, it was enabled?
It's super easy for me to reproduce, I just have them harvest near a 'dirty' area. Downside is that it's a bit of chance on finding out what they've picked up that has bugged them out as their gear tab is mostly no longer visible at that point. I kinda just have to watch them or kill them after they pick it up and pay real close attention to what they drop. I've seen them drop leaves indoors because that's obviously out of place, but I'm pretty sure I've seen them pick up blood and bug out too.
Also using Simple Sidearms and dye cannot be equipped as a weapon as far as I can tell.
@Melon
Filters for equipment should help with ce/sa compat
Please confirm if you're able
edit: i think it's because i have medieval overhaul which makes trees drop raw logs?
